four reasons why partnerships matter:
- Partnerships model the unity that Jesus prayed for. Unity is a sign to the Church and world that the gospel draws us together in mutual submission to Christ.
- Partnerships keep our egos in check because working with others brings to awareness our tendency to build our own brand rather than God’s Kingdom.
- Partnerships expands our opportunity – When we leverage our connections and resources together, we are able to reach more people in our communities. It helps ensure that we’re not duplicating or competing with work already being done in this space or place.
- Partnerships expose us to diverse voices – when we partner with churches and networks different than ourselves, we get outside our echo chamber and learn from perspectives on God’s mission in other contexts.
