FOR US and WITH US

God is ‘for us’ and ‘with us.’  God cares deeply about our hurts, but he cares more about the lessons He is trying to teach us as we wait for release from the dungeon of depression.

Soul wounds.  They are deep and they are real.  They are seemingly easily unearthed even when buried deeply and have their way of revealing themselves through experiences that act like ‘trigger points.’  We must diligently seek help and counsel and not buy into the lie from the one whose sole purpose is to steal, to kill and destroy.

This Christmas season, Jesus offers forgiveness and freedom.  That is our hope.

We choose between Soul Wounds or Soul Thirst.  My soul thirsts after freedom, hope, love and healing…all found through a relationship with Jesus.

When we feel blue, it is a reminder that behind the storms of life there is a blue sky.  Jesus is walking beside us.  To experience victory, we must choose the way of the cross.  We share in His sufferings which is rarely fun, but it is a privilege that makes me become more like Jesus.

Those that wait upon the Lord, He will renew their strength.  Hold on my child, joy comes in the morning.  What great promises from God’s Word.

FOR US….

God is ‘for us’…

            He was crucified for us

            He took the weight of sin for us

            He demonstrated His love while we were sinners for us

            He has compassion for us

Jesus is FOR US and not against us!

WITH US…

God is ‘with us’…

            He is present with us

            He strengthens us for he is with us

            He goes before us and is with us

            He protects us and is with us

            He comforts us and is with us

Jesus is Emmanuel… “God With Us”

You are not alone.  You are loved!   ‘For God so love the world, that He gave His one and only Son and whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life.’
