BREATHE LIFE a 3 Part Series
BREATHE – life’s gift (part one)
I breathe! Am I entitled to that breath? Our breath is the ultimate gift from the Father above.
“God himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ Acts 17:24-28
That Scripture is packed with life giving breath. The moment we enter this world He gives us life sustaining physical breath. He offers the same breath to everyone spiritually. Physical life is given by God himself. Spiritual life is provided by God as a gift, but He has chosen to allow each one to ‘choose’ this even greater life.
This life is so precious and special. Here we see that the Creator of the world is no respecter of persons. From one man he made ‘all’ the nations. Our God loves the whole world; every tribe and nation and every people group!
When God created us, He created us not only for life but for a purpose. He marked out our lives to carry out the mission of God. The mission of God is given to every follower of Jesus. Every one of us was created for fellowship, to grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man, to serve God and one another, to take the good news and the mercy of God to everyone, everywhere and in all things make our God bigger as we bring glory to Him, the ultimate purpose of man.
Why did God do this? His desire is that His creation would seek him, reach out for him and find him. We are never ‘too far gone.’ He is not far from any one of us. God is always more concerned about where you are going than where you have been.
From where does true life come? ‘For in Him we live and move and have our being.’
Searching for life? I have good news. You can breathe your first breath and become a child of God right now. Trust Him for who He says He is! He is your creator and your savior. Be thankful for the physical gift of life and accept His spiritual gift, through Jesus. Don’t wait, breathe life today!
