Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!

Does anyone else remember Gomer Pile?   What a knucklehead!    And too often we as Christians are just like him!    We pray and we don’t believe.   We ask and the Lord answers and we have our eyes shut and ears closed.

I should always be in awe of God.  He is God after all.   But surprised?   Not anymore.  I have walked with Him long enough to know that He is capable of anything we can ask or even imagine!   Why then were the Christians ‘astonished’ when Peter knocked on their door after the Spirit of God released Him from his chains in jail?    Because they prayed errantly!    They truly were not praying believing!

Believe God TODAY!   Trust Him!

Acts 12:16 But Peter kept on knocking, and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonished.
